Andre is one of the region’s biggest supporters and is keen on helping businesses grow in the Okanagan.

Andre believes that leadership by example is key to taking business success from good to great. Andre led the Penticton Herald for 9 years, starting at the bottom 22 years ago and working his way up to general manager.
At the helm, Andre oversaw every aspect of the Herald. He personified the notion of diverse leadership, working with the editorial team and advertising strategists, as well as assisting his counterparts in the Kelowna office and guiding over 200 newspaper carriers and several direct reports.
Andre saw his business through many changes, yet his broad skillset and propensity to thrive during challenges resulted in the Herald remaining the dominant source of news and community information in the South Okanagan. He attributes this success to the school of hard knocks!
Beyond his success in business, Andre is active in the Penticton and South Okanagan communities. He has led several community initiatives and donates his time and energy to a variety of boards and associations.
Andre is the Chair of the BC Hockey Hall of Fame, has served as President of the 600+ member Downtown Penticton Association, President of the Penticton Chamber of Commerce, as a Director of the South Okanagan Community Foundation and Penticton Canada Triathlon race. He was also named Business Leader of the Year for the region in 2011.

Today, Andre invests much of his time as City Councillor in Penticton, Director with the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen and the Okanagan Basin Water Board.

Andre’s core values include:
Always be better than you were yesterday.
Be who you are, not who you think others want you to be.
Be truthful to everyone, including yourself.
Have it, make it and enjoy it.
Giving back in any way makes my community a better
place for the citizens and businesses operating within it.
